Member Agreements
Collectors - Certification Membership
The ACBO Certification Membership is an investment in the success and continued growth of your
business. This association provides services that are custom designed to separate, showcase, and
reward its members.
Collector Certification/Member ($20 USD $25 CA per bin, per year)
Any private sector or nonprofit organization engaged in the collection of textiles and secondhand
clothing and shoes may be eligible to become a certified member of the association, provided that it
meets the standards for certification as set forth by ACBO and pays the per bin certification fee
Note: If your organization has less than 25 locations the minimum membership fee will be $495 USD/$ 639 CA, per year

Qualifications
-
Minimum one year in business
-
Provide three trade reference
-
Submission of additionally insured insurance certificate, to ACBO
-
Proof of Corporation
-
Agree to mandatory terms & conditions, Member, and Operator Code of Conduct documents.

Have a good Better Business Bureau record (BBB)
-
Have passed a Consumer Protection Agency entity search
-
Have a good Charity Navigator Rating (If a charity or affiliation is with a charity)

Proof of charity or nonprofit affiliations (If a private sector organization)

Pay the per bin, annual certification fee
The Process

Create a username and password
-
Review and agree to all mandatory documents

Complete application in full and submit all required documents

Allow for 5 to 10 business days for approval response

Upon approval pay 50% of the certification membership annual fee

You will be granted full access to the member sign in area
-
Input your site locations to the provided interface and pay the remaining balance of
membership -
Your locations will then be automatically listed on the national FindAbin.com web locator and
certified Location decals will be sent out
Once Approved

You will be granted immediate access to the member sign in area

You’ll need to execute the Member Agreement and make the required 50% deposit, (certified check, ACH, bank wire or credit card), which is based on the number of bin or site locations you currently have, multiplied by the yearly per bin or location fee of $20.

You will then be provided special login instructions to The ACBO’s Member Administrator Interface. This is where you will have full control of the interface, you will then fill in all your site locations, name, addresses, contact information, website, and other pertinent information. You will also have full control on adding and removing locations. (If you add new locations, you must pay an additional $20. Per location)

You will receive a special site locating code, which will enable you to place your own zip code locator on your website and social media platforms. (This personalized site locator will only show your locations, no other members locations will be shown)

Once you have imputed all your site information, the balance of your yearly agreement will be due in full, upon receipt of your payment, all your locations will show up on the official www.FindABin.com website and listed as a good standing member. ACBO will immediately send you your current year Certified Location/Approved Member (“CLD”) decals, via Priority mail. (Please note members MAY NOT display the CLD decals if not an active member nor can display an out-of-date CLD)
